Default Vacuum Noise Under Hood

I just bought a 1992 sc400 and love it. However, I am hereing a vacuum noise coming from a little item located on top of the engine behind the tranction control module on the passenger side of the car. It has "Denso 184600-1681 vacuum" written on it (not in that particular order). Does anyone know what this piece is? And, do you think it is bad? What does it control? Help

I took it by Lexus at lunch. They said that it was normal. It has something to do with the A/C. When I turn the temp down to max. it starts making the noise until it is normalized. Thanks for your response though.
