Question 2 types of Catalytic Converter ???

What 's up guys I recently purchased a direct fit Catalytic Converter from an online store. When on the phone

with the customer rep he asked me if I had an o2 sensor after the cat. A quick check under the car revealed

that I only had the two near the manifold and none after the cat. So the cat arrives at my mechanic’s and the

thing has an extra hole on the side. Now my question is this cat the same as one without a hole. My mechanic

told me that it appeared to be about four inches shorter than original.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thank You,
Brian Carvalho
