Blown 1UZ - Some talk, Some do....
Smiffie (Loaded on Toyotaimportsform) shipped a blown Celsior (LS400) from Japan and ripped out the blower to install on his Soarer (SC400).
I drove it last weekend SHEEEITE it's quick and thats without any tuning, just bolted the bugger on the engine and drove it away, we are waiting for headers and going to install an SAFC for some fuel management so we can expect a bit more power out of it.
Full story here TIF - C's Supercharged 1UZ

Although C's is no longer, we are importing the Eaton blower kits from Oz for the 1UZ Soarer.
I reckon we could get 350bhp from the Eaton blower with fuel management but the expected torque figures are just ballastic (Jaguar XKR beater), we aint aiming for any monster figures but a usable car with none of the turbo drawbacks like laggy performance and narrow power band.
You have to drive a blown 1UZ to understand what the power delivery is like, it goes from std/a little more/plenty more/fkin loads more, as the revs increase
I sold the 2.5 TT at Xmas because Yakuza came along, spotless Black on Black V8 with lots of toys, excellent history and 18" BBS rims - but it is so, so slow, I expect the C/Card will come out shortly to get the blower kit fitted and possibly NOS for those "real moments", ideally I would like to add the 5.0ltr stroker kit but that is bloody expensive.

Yes, It's an Eaton M90 blower running 7.5psi boost (1/2Bar) which currently has issues with detonation at high revs so fuelling is way out, we could drop the boost to 5psi (the std 1UZ ECU can manage 5psi boost) by using a larger driven wheel on the blower but whats the fun in that?
Speaking to some of the guys in Oz they say a Mines ECU would be beneficial but the Mines ECU can only be re-mapped by sending it back to the factory in Japan which is a bummer (as is the cost), on the otherhand you do get an extra 1,000rpm to play with.
When the new 4-2-1 headers arrive from Oz we will get stuck into the fuelling side, I feel there is a lot more potential in there.

A little update;
Yakuza is at Smiffies Soarer Sanctuary now having some preparation work ready to fit the C's/Eaton M90 blower;
Full engine service with belts and cam clearances, autobox oil&filter, every single suspension mounting bush front & rear, rollbar bushes and drop links, new front air shocks, gearbox rear mounting, propshaft centre mounting, rear axle cage mountings, front brake discs.
Remedial paintwork for stone chips and those annoying car park dints (collected by the previous owner, I never park in public car parks).
Thanks to the Oz guys doing the groundwork it will be going for a Unichip installation to do fuel/ignition mapping on the rollers after the blower is mounted.
Possibly a water injection setup will go on but we will see how it works out after the Unichip install. I cant wait for the next two weeks (I can wait for the bill!).
Meanwhile heres a vid of a donor, C's blown Celsior, this is one quick barge.

Very nice.
If the SC300 wasn't so turboable(new word?) I'd definitely be looking at a blower.
What are the stock injectors on a Lexus 4.0?
I know the 3.0s got around 330cc injectors.

That's cool, congrats on the new car.
Doesn't the Unichip have an extra output that can be used for water injection?
I love the install on that blower; the factory intake fits nicely.
