Engine losses poer/shuts down "sometime" when braking
I owe an SC400 with 81k miles and sometimes I get a power loss and/or the engine will totally shut down. It immediately starts back-up when I turn the ignition. The power loss is such that my saved radio station setting memory is lost and the time is incorrect. Does anyone have an Idea as to what may be causing this problem?

Do your headlights flicker when you hit the brakes? If so, you're probably looking at a bad ground connection from the battery. I fixed my similar problem just by replacing the terminal on the ground cable, but there are plenty of ways to do it. There was a thread on this forum entitled "ghosts in the electrical system" that covered this topic in great detail.

also, try cleaning your batterying terminals with a wire brush or something... sometimes they get corroded and need a good scrub.
But definately tighten down those wires -- it's a 10MM bolt FYI
