Default MSD RPM switch Tap on SC400?

Im running a dry 80 shot currently and want to add a msw window switch for added safety. Where do i tap the switch into. I tried the ecu but that only reads 1/2 the rpm signal i need something that reads the full signal.

that would make sense...... when you install a S-AFC and set the cyl to 8cyl it reads 1/2 the rpm that it should.

I am not familiar with the MSD module but if there is a mode where you can change from 8cyl to 4cyl i would try that first.

Think i can just wire it into the ecu and use the window switch with 1500 and 3000 pill? I want it to come on at 3000 and shut off at 6000.

nevermind finally downloaded the insturctions from msd and there wires on the side of the unit that you need to cut in order to put it in 8,6 or 4cylinder mode. Ill leave it in 4clinder mode and tap off the coil.
