Default Anyone spraying 160 on an SC4?

Anyone? I sold my Rx7 and decided now to come back to my roots. I am now searching for a sub 50k mile SC4 to pick up, and will begin compiling the parts I need to go turbo. However, considering it would take over a year as half of it is going to have to be one off parts, and I am going to assemble my own motor this time (which I have never done, so it will be a learning experience), I am thinking of going ahead and doing a direct port 160 shot + converter for the time being just to amuse myself for a while. I was just curious if anyone had actually taken the plunge, and what kind of results they were seeing.

I'm also looking into 100 shot for my SC4...Just need to redo my exhaust and I'm ready to go...I'm hoping that it will be completed in 3 months...

Hopefully, you will be done before I'm...I would like to see some numbers also...

What kit are you planning to go with?

If I do it I probably won't use a kit, as generally speaking whenever I mod cars almost everything ends up being custom because I never like what is on the market. If I end up doing it I would probably do a direct port 160 shot using NOS nozzles and probably just have to do some shopping on which solenoids I wanted to go with. Probably also a small secondary fuel cell for 104 and nitrous specific pump for the nitrous fueling. I really liked the nitrous lines we had on my last car, because they offer a lot of flexibility in where you run them to the intake, and don't look nasty like the hardlines.

Here is a pic of those lines: http://www.somniplex.com/gallery/Ethan/DSC00055

Todd's time of 12.30 is impressive, but honestly if spraying that much is only going to net me a 113 trap it probably isn't worth my time to do it at this point.... I may just wait until I can piece all the turbo stuff together, because once I get that done I am hoping to have a quick enough spooling setup/high enough stall that I won't need to spray out of the hole like on my last car, so hopefully I will be spray free at thay point.

his trap can also be associated to his 60 ft using slicks. Everytime i use slicks it kills my trap by 5-6 mph but of course improves my q/m times by 1 sec.

What size slicks are you running? When I ran 26x10.5-16 et streets my traps were always within 1-2 MPH of my times on my 275/40-17 555r street tires.

Same size as you what 60's are you cutting. On street tires 255/18 i pull 2.3-2.2 best and on slicks 1.7

I was cutting 1.7x on the drag radials, and 1.5x on the et streets (on boost on the radials and spraying out of the hole on the slicks). The rubber compound shouldn't effect the MPH, just the ET, so a radial is a radial as far as trap speed is concerned. Those 60s were cut with street tire pressure in the 555rs, which was my street tire full time.

Thats a great 60 on drag radial! Maybe i have to practice my launches better. What car is this on? Mine was a Bpu+++ Supra 1994. But on Street tires best mph was 120, drag radials 117, slicks 114.5 quarter mile times 12.3, 11.9, 11.75

Todd's car eventually went up to near a 300-shot, clicked an 11 on a slick with a standalone and everything else stock, that was a while ago now, that car has been completely redone. Hope you find what you're looking for Ethan.

Me too... I am sick of not being satisfied with cars. It is starting to become frustrating!

It was in my SC300 with a single. Stock suspension, TT rear end, and a 3800 converter.
