Is it not possible to turbo a 92 SC300? I see that the DaveH kit starts with production year 93. Damn!

if you get his base kit (shorty dp, header, wg, turbo) youll need to have some custom piping made for the downpipe and intercooler. Youll also need an intercooler and, depending on how much power youre looking for, youll need fuel and a headgasket.

Thanx for the reply: Let me recap!

"if you get his base kit (shorty dp, header, wg, turbo) youll need to have some custom piping made for the downpipe and intercooler. Youll also need an intercooler and, depending on how much power youre looking for, youll need fuel and a headgasket."

how much for an intercooler? Suggestions? Just want enough for my OEM parts to withstand the power.

How much power can my transmission and other parts of the car take? I'm not really crazy on the HP. Just want to zoom by some cars that irritate me on the freeways at times..hehehheee. In no way am i setting up for street racing. I just need to know that the power is there when i need it.

how much is for headgasket? Suggestions?

Fuel??

What about the gauges? Do i need them or is it supplied with the basic kit?

By the way rscott, do u have this kit on your car?

supra stock TT sidemount intercooler will work fine. If youre auto, it will almost refuse to shift after 7psi of boost. At that point youll need a torque converter and an upgraded valve body. I believe both of those go with the built auto from BL or any other company. The tranny building can get real pricey. If youre 5 speed, it all depends on your clutch. As far as the tranny goes, some have gone to 500+ rwhp while others have broken at just 350. It depends really on what kind of condition its in now. The HG is unecessary for you application i think. Its for boost applications beyond 10psi. That can get costly since they have to pull off the head and everything above to install it. im not sure of the exact price. Youll need the basic gauges. Really the only ones necessary are i think boost and maybe egt and a/f. youll probably be alright with just a boost controller. Youll also need an safc or equivalent for tuning. Some bypass the tuning step, but its the only way to run safely without risking blowing your motor.
