Lightbulb Definitive supercharging section

I know I will probably get flamed for bringing this up again, but I have tried all the sites I could find, and attempted to contact people with no luck. I would like to know who makes superchargers for the SC400, I know some are available in Australia but what is their power gain and who else makes them. Lets try to make this the definitive supercharging section, we can all post all the known superchargers (KNOWN NOT MADE UP RUMORS OR "JOKES") This would go a long way towards helping many people including myself.

I have a 1992 SC400 (A-Spec) from Toronto Canada.

(Please don't flame me, I just want to finally find a reputable supercharger for my car)

I wont flame you. But their are no known superchargers for the SC400 (a-spec) as we all know. alot of potential and if you got money, go to a shop in canada and get the work done. But if I had the money I would get a turbo! More power. Than i would love to look at some people face as all they would see is "SC400"

Thanks, at least one person answered . The SC400 would require having many options and features removed to be able to take a supercharger, and it would decrease my reliability.

three steps to boost:

1) sell your 400
2) buy a 300
3) turbo your new SC.

for better results, super-size step 3.

cool, I always enjoy the posts about a possible supercharger application that'll make 5 or 6 psi for $10,000.

...then some SC300 owner goes and finds a junked supra GTE for $4,000 and is running with 14 PSI of boost.

I had the 400, and decided to get off the sidelines and got a 5 speed SC300 instead. Look at Lex Luthor -- he used to have the 400, and was waiting for a FI application. Nothing happened, so here he is, with his SC300 @ SP.

Keep on keepin on, in the meantime every turbo 300 will be long gone.

bro, I was there -- thinking all you SC300 owners are cheaters! You're just mooching off of MKIV goodness!

Obviously I had a change of heart, and a change of Sig!

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Lex Luthor was all about doing naughty things to the 1UZ-FE -- it's a great block. I'm not going to argue that the potential isn't there. The sad fact is that it's nearly impossible to get to.

I gotta tell you, having a five speed is a lot of fun too.

If you guys do get it running, I'll be the first to congratulate you and ask for a ride! But I'm just trying to be a realist...

...Unless you've got a machine shop in your house, or lots of money, a boosted SC4 is going to be hard to come by.

I am currently researching on how to supercharge a 1998-up SC400. The air/fuel mappings are slightly different on our ECU vs. the GS400 but I am sure it can and will be done (with $$ that i don't have). If I don't figure out how, I'll find someone who does. Oh yeah....check out www.lextreme.com. He has a supercharged 1st gen LS400. This guy knows his stuff and you can buy the kit from him for about $6000 or so. Japan & Australia also have S/C kits for the 92-97 SC400's. I love me a 2JZ-GTE but nothing sounds like a 1UZ-FE (esp. with FI ).
