This could be one of those mindless posts. But hey i was bored. So last night I was working on my brakes (changing to rotors and pads) on my SC300 and then I was looking under the car and thought to myself, this exhaust is so restrictive.

So i got to work. and after there was no more exhaust, I removed the full exhaust including both cats. Hacked my Air Filter Box (since I am getting a new K&N soon) and I start up.

put in mind by the time we finished taking off the exhaust it was like midnight.

I couldnt resist so I started up my car, it sounded crazy. We went for a drive. After waking up my neighbourhood that night. We went out to scare people. And the mission was succesful.

You would think that the sound of the exhaust would sound bad. But sounded amazing a constant Ferrari hummmm at 4000-5000 rpm. People were looking at the car like it had something a crazy engine.

It reminds me of one post about how the Ferrari Enzo has no radio. And the guy who purchased the car didnt mind cuz the sound of the exhaust was music to his ears.

Well i will post video with sound tommorow and you be the judge since I am putting my exhaust back before i get tickets.

Yeah, I will. But your avatar says your from Michigan, You could hear it for yourself if you lived in the detoit area. I hope it doesnt rain Sunday. But looking at the way Michigan weather is notoriusly bad it could even snow.

But I will upload it by tommorow, if the weather is good.

Yeah man the SC400's sound so badass with even the stock exhaust on. Borla exhaust sounds like crap on all the mullet bullet camaros, mustangs, vettes, what have you.......BUT on the SC400.... whoa man its awesome! probably a lot better than open exhaust haha I wanna hear this SC300 though!

hey, i did this to my car too! well actually one of my header pipes got loose so i took it off and ran open manifolds on one side for a while. it was loud! i got looks from everyone, i just tell them "v8" thats all i had to say. it did get annoying after a while. i didnt use my ac or heater and it was hard to sneak out at night becus i have to park it in the garage at night. the sound was just plain raw, thats the only way to describe it

i just removed all my resonators from the SC, youll get the same exact sound as a viper, anything above that in my opinion wouldnt sound right

during my exhaust install we fired up my sc with no exhaust after the cat and took it out for a spin...

WOW. that was rediculous, i was going in 5th gear on a 35mph road to make it quieter! it is fun to play with for a short time though.

the same week i got my car i took everything off except one stock muffler, so from the header to the tail pipe was 2.5 inch tubing but with the stock muffler, the car had a little humm at idle and at low speed but at WOT it sounded to me like a porshe or a ferrari. soundes even better than a V8
