Hey guys,
I was looking at this site (lextacy.com) and there where a couple things on there that
I might be interested in purchasing in the near future. First the carbon fiber hood caught my I and
i was wondering if anyone had purchased this hood from them and could fill me in on quality and fitment. The other thing was headers... which are noted as NOT STREET LEGAL.... why is this what makes headers in particular illegal and how could they be i dentified as illegal without opening up the hood? thanx everyone for the info...

Most of the time a racing header is illegal because it eliminates a pre-cat. The only way you can really be identified without having your hood popped is if the cop recognizes the change in tone that a header gives. Not really a problem with Lexus I'd imagine, more usually with Hondas.

AcleanSC says yes and Octane103 says no on the fitment issues. There are too few in circulation to get any idea. They put a couple hoods on Ebay for cheap. I'd get one except I'm all paraniod since my accident.
