Default High flo cats....worth the $$$???

Would having high flo catalytic convertors help horsepower that much? I have an intake and x-pipe exhaust with 2.5" piping back to the stock cats. Would a universal high flo one work or do I need to buy one specifically made for my car? I'm just curious. I'd imagine it might change the sound up a little more too.

This is a nice little write up on planet Soarer. http://www.planetsoarer.com/cats/cats.htm

If you hunt around a little they did a study on the exhaust components and it shows the resonators are the real power robbers in the exhaust system.
