I talked to toyomoto and they said I'd have to pull the dirtributor. No way to fit it

Coil packs. They said I could use the coil packs from an IS300 on there, and Haltech. I'm guessing thats the setup they're putting on Jeff's car.

You answered your own question, remove the distributor and install a standalone and IS3 coil packs.

the is3 arent true coil on cylinder coil packs. they branch off each other some how. Anyways you'll need 6 2jzgte coil packs, a 2jzgte ignitor and mk3 cam trigger sensor. and something that can control it either. wire down to the 2jzgte ecu or go standalone w/ the aem cdi. goodluck.

You can use oem mkiv TT coil packs and msd dis4, aem cdi, etc. I've heard of some people using ls1 coil packs too. Incidently i'm having trouble with my oem 6 channel TT ignitor and standalone haltech ecu. All depends on the setup i guess.

The IS3 coil packs work fine (I have them on mine)....as for them branching off bamboo, there are three coil packs for the six cylinders. Toyomoto uses them with the Haltech.

bring back an old thread but i got some questions about this coilpack switch over.

From my understanding the cams in the NA head have another lobe for the distributor? If you switch over to this MKIII cam sensor, can u run TT cams instead of the NA cams? Anything else you need to do to the head to run coilpacks? I'll be running AEM when the car cranks up in a few months.

Thanks in advance for anymore help.

Kyle
