Probably less work and money to just use the GTE block to bolt on an NA head and AEM ecu, since there are now a few choices in turbo kits for the GE head...

Why get rid of the GE block ? Or the GE head for that matter ? Just turbo what you have.

WEll just weighing the options I have in front of me. I was just wondering if this is a feasable route to take. I figured the wiring would be my downfall. I realy dont wanna get rid of the ge block or head now that thier are alot of after market options as far as turbo kits goes. Thanks for the heads up guys. Just wondering what cam options are thier. I really dont like the regrind idea from crower. and I want to have aftermaket cams in the head. thanks-pdang

As far as cams go, the majority ARE regrinds...
There are only a very few that use new blanks.

After looking over HKS cams when I put them in my supra motor, and looking over other regrind sets I've had done, I'll probably never waste the extra money on the HKS again. They're nice, don't get me wrong, but not worth the 300% hike over regrinds done by the right place. At least when you're talking street car apps... I can't see going w/ the big guns on a race app. where every little bit counts, but that's a totally different situation.
