list of parts for the 6spd Swap?
Hey guys its been a while since I wrote anything at all on this site ...... sorry about that but I know am a graduated engineer and so glad to be out of school. Well I am asking once again for asistance on the next step in the LeSupra process. I would like to drop the 6sp into my baby, cause that W58 tranny is about to die with all that torque that I am putting down. So I know that with the 92's the tranny tunnel must be widend, so I ask how much? Is it a certain amount or is it something you just feel your way through? Second, which rear end should I choose, the 3.13 or the 3.79 with the 6sp also can I just purchase the TRD LSD and swap the carrier inside the same houseing that I already have? Third what size is the new drive shaft suppose to be, where do you measure it form: overall length or center to center yoke to yoke? Fourth, what side drive axle do I need to purchase in order for it to work, I think its the drivers side? Fith, the slave cylinder general directions on what parts to swap over, keep in mind that I have the 5sp now? 6th, the jdm 6sp version will it work or is it a pain to get it to fit cause slave cylinder is on the opposite side and is the performance worth not getting it at all? Finally, there are rebuilt 6sp being sold on ebay, is it worth to get a rebulit one eventhough there is a 6month warranty? Do they use parts from GETRAG or just run of the mill parts? Basically will it handle up to the 770rwhp that I am planning for? These are some of the questions that I can think off, but if you guys have any info or input it would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for such a long message.
