Default So what would you do? NA-T?

I originally wanted to do the 2jz-gte swap, and 6 speed tranny swap. But Considering the costs, It is going to be at least 10,000 dollars just to get the 320 hp. I am going to turn 20 in a month, and I own a 1995 Automatic SC300. And well realistically I doubt Ill be able to afford this prior to my college graduation.

Also seeing an IS300 the member of the month pulling 540 rwhp with stock internals, Im starting to think that limit for those 3 years that should be more then enough for me. Seeing how his engine is nearly identical.

So if you were me would you opt for a NA-T setup? I guess if thats the case, then the first order of bussiness would be to swap my automatic tranny out, and search for a matching 5 speed. I wonder how much that alone would cost?

Oppinions?

why do you need to sawp out the auto?

do a search for turbo, you will find a wealth of information.

with some of the lower cost kits, you can get 320+ hp for less than 5K if you na-t

I want to pretty much reach the limits of what my engine can take. So I would much rather go way beyond 320 rwhp if possible.

I want to swap out the Auto because frankly I hate the tranny, with a passion!!! Its slow to shift, and I know its SUCKING a TON of power out of my car. I get the feeling that just doing a tranny swap alone would net me about 20 rwhp. I also hate its long geared antics. Case in point running a 16.809 at 3100 feet, vs a high 15.

And as I was doing the search, I will say it right now, me selling this car and buying a manual SC300 is so not an option. For one this car is in great condition, second, In months and months of searching, I've never ever found a manual SC300 in my area!

I also dont want to be Just a drag racer, I want a car that can hold its on on a road course. Doing the search on this 5 speed swap I found little info.
