FINALLY got my ECU upgrade
Hey...I finally got my ECU upgrade...
I just bought it off of Vegas..who's also in the forum.
That would complete my combo with an injen intake/ecu upgrade/high stall speed torque converter/exhaust.
I will have the ecu installed this weekend and post results and logs...
See if I can STAY AHEAD of a GS now....after 60mph.
I am contemplating getting a fuel regulator and larger y-pipe and larger cat-back pipe to take advantage of the tuning. U guys think it's necessary? or worh the money/trouble for the components I listed?

output?
So how much more performance did you get out of it?
Also did you pass smog?
Where did you get this all done?

Hey Mike. I removed both my silencers and put on 2.5" piping and straight thru mufflers. I did notice a little more power on my butt dyno. The design Max was talking about sounds very cool and pretty easy. As long as you don't alter the cat you shouldn't have any smog problems.

More or less just posted this in another thread but with an S-AFCII, full exhaust and dyno tune VSsc400 reports 220rwhp this in comparision to an average stock number of 175rwhp. Worth it? Ahhhh... YEAH
PS. read the header GB post.

SO what's my shopping list here?
SO I want to get:
1)S-AFCII (600?)
2)Headers in the group buy (600)
3)Straight through exhaust system (500-700)
4)Re-tune ecu when this is all done. (200)
And I'm gonne be looking at 250 rwhp which is about 320 hp?
Costs?

you don't need S-AFC with another piggy back unit.
Clarification on my setup 92 sc400 84k miles
I put down 210rwhp and 230rwtq with exhaust and S-AFC bluescreen version (not s-afcII)
The s-afc was definitely undertuned. The A/F curver was not as smooth or as lean as I would have hoped. I am going to another place in january for a re-tuned.
As far as cost I paid $200 for my S-AFC(used)
exhaust parts were less than $400
and I wouldn't even worry about the crank power. It's the wheel horsepower that really matters.

Jim Meader's car....
Okay..I went to my exhaust guy who I had install my magnaflow mufflers and tips.
He and I were going through the details about regarding making a straight through exhaust with 2 1/2 inch plumbing.
We got to talking and I realize that Jim Meader(w/the SC400 with Tundra V-8 swap who's also on this forum) and I share the same exhaust guy!!!
He had his work done at this place as well.
I heard all about Jim's car. Turns out he has a bored/stroked V-8 using Tunra parts and did a whole new exhaust system and computer system to accomodate it. I think the car's doing 350hp plus.
Supposedly his exhaust sounds WICKED!
Gotta give it up to JIm..awesome work!
I think the SC's in northern cali need to meet up again =)
So anyhow...the piping is pretty affordable so it will be interesting to see how that goes.
I'm going to wait on the exhaust project until the header group buy is completed...then retune my ecu
I'd like 250rwhp as well
