It will work the gearing will be wrong the 6speed has 3.23 gearing and the auto has 3.73 the auto is a bolt up while the 6speed you will need the left axle as it is longer than your stock unit.

The MKIII diff is completely different..... mounting points, input and output flanges, etc.

Bro the gear ratios in your W58 tranny are not the same as the ratio in a mkiii supra that is why you break trannies over 500rwp as the internals are not as strong .Option get a 1j z bellhousing and flywheel and use a mkiii gear box or go 6speed.

PS Dave H sent you a couple pm about your intake never heard back from you.

I just checked my PM box and I don't have anything from you. I did have a PM from Hermosa from 11/20/03 that I replied to, aparently my *notification* isn't working. If you want, just email me instead because sometimes I don't get over here (clublexus) for a few days. dhenry@ulteig.com and/or davesupra@aol.com

Didn't MKIV N/A Supra 5 speed come with LSD? I heard something about it, but I could be confusing it with MKIII.

So why not try that? It might work, no?

Doesn't matter anymore. I broke something again last night. I believe it was the clutch, but last time I thought it was the clutch, I had broken the whole tranny. Either way, the car isn't driveable again, I had to have it towed home last night again I guess I will find out later this week when I get a chance to tear it apart.

The reason I don't try the Supra 5 spd NA LSD is because it is rare and it costs more than than the Supra TT auto LSD, I would rather just get that

*edit* I don't really care if it is the tranny OR the clutch, I am tired of the factory 5 speed junk tranny. I have a real good feeling that no matter what I see when I pull the tranny, the 5 speed is probably not going back in there. Neither is a 6 speed.

with all those times u are breaking the 5 speed, you might as well just go 6 speed and get it over with. from what i recall it's pretty hard finding a clutch that can hold that type of power too for our 5 spds.

I am definitely saying "no" to the 6 speed as well. The next time my tires see pavement, they will be spinning to 100 MPH thru an automatic tranny.
