opinions on N/A-T or 2JZ-GTE
I've been reading this forum for some time now and I am planning on purchasing an sc300 used in spring. I am debating on whether to do an aftermarket turbo setup (Toyomoto most likely) or just swap a 2JZ-GTE into it. They both pretty much to be in the same price range. From what i read the stage 1.5 Toyomoto kits are about 10 grand installed. And from what have been reading, the twin turbo swap seem to be about the same, if not 2 or 3 grand more. So i just wanted advise from you all here on what you think is the best thing to do.. My goal is to have about 450 - 500 RWHP and run at least 12.3 in the 1/4. Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

The GTE swap is more involved imo than the NA-T route. There are lots of misc. modifications that need to be done to make it work. Me personally im looking for over 800+rwhp thats why I did the swap.

did you do the swap yourself or did you have a shop do it?..i found shops but they all charge about 11 grand. DO you think it was worth it for the swap?...or would you have gone the N/A -T route?

PHR did my swap. Some shops charge more than others but i think they are all pretty close in the ballpark. Of course, I don't even look back on the other choices I could have made.
