Low fuel?
I was driving this evening when I realized I only had 14 miles of range in fuel.
At what point does (or should) the low fuel indicator come on? I certainly expect it would have come on sooner. There was roughly 1/8 in the tank from the gauge.

Just fill up, and note how much gas you're putting in. You should be filling in 13 gallons or less (tank holds 15.9) if light hasn't come on yet (but may be imminent).

I put in just over 14 gallons, so I should have been below the threshold. Something for the dealer to check on at the first service, sounds like

In subsequent fill ups, record your findings (dash pics, fuel pumped, etc) as it will be easier for you and Lexus to diagnose and resolve. Good luck.

Interestingly, my experience is quite the opposite. I find the low fuel indicator comes on too early. I guess that's better than coming on too late like the OP's problem.
I usually fill up at the 1/4 mark and have only had the low fuel light come on in one instance, but I noted that I was only able to fill up 47 L, when the capacity is 60 L. That's about 20% fuel remaining, which is highly conservative. At the trip's computer calculated fuel economy of 9.6 L/100 km, that would be another 135 km of range till empty.
Aside, I am actually getting about 9.5 to 10 L/100 km, which is great!

I had the indicator come on with about 30 miles of range showing on the computer and 1/8 of a tank. When I filled up it was 12.5 gallons so it must be conservative on my car since the stats say it is a 15.9 gallon tank.

Im finding the exact same with my fuel indicator/warning light. My thinking is they are doing this because people are driving cars with too little gas and its causing junk to be pulled into the injectors etc. You really shouldnt let your car get below 2 gallons left etc.

I have always been under the understanding that you shouldn't let boosted cars get too low on gas. Whether turbo'd or supercharged. Usually 1/4 tank is the lowest you want to go.

What is weird with my scenario is the range shows 19 miles, but I am only able to add 12.05 gallons. I thought it should be 15.9. then why the light turns with still about 4 gallons left?
corradoMR2, can you explain why you said "You should be filling in 13 gallons or less"? Your statement seems right, just don't understand. Thanks.

side note...what's kind of annoying is all the low gas alerts. when you need gas the car blares at you that you need gas. the gas light comes on, an alert on the small info screen comes on and the navigation shows all the gas stations in the area. I'm like ok I get it. lol

Yeah, early for me too. It normally tells me that I have ~18miles of range left in the tank, and then it only takes ~12.5 gallons.
With all the insistence that I get gas, I'm afraid to test this thing. I wonder if she'll shut down when she gets to zero range and alert me along the lines of, "I told you I need gas, and I'm not moving until you give me some!"
