Default New US orders for the NX

Placed a deposit with my local dealer (Boston, MA area) to get an NX in the next shipment for the US. A must-have for me was the Forward Collision/Dynamic Crusie Control option pkg, and the dealer told me that Lexus has not shipped any NX's to the US with this option as of yet. Perusing this forum, it looks like there are some Canadian owners with this option pkg, but wanted to see if there are any US owners or potential buyers out there with some info to back this up.

Cool - good to know; thanks for the feedback!
What color combo did you go for? I've gone with the F-Sport in Nebula Grey w/Rioja Red interior. Cant wait to see it!

Hmm, I've seen plenty on dealer lots with the adaptive cruise/FCA. That's a must have for me as well! I'm in the Philadelphia area FYI.

I've only been looking at non F sports though and Lexus has been a bit weird about packages shipped on one model vs. The other but check out some NJ dealers and you may have some luck.

Very nice color combo!

I went with the F-Sport Ultrasonic Blue Mica with Rioja Red interior. The red stitching is a very nice touch. Can't wait to get it too!

Hey guys... quick question here from a 2008 LS460 owner who's interested in the NX. Not replacing, adding.

When you ordered your NX's (versus selecting from the dealer inventory), did you find the dealer was less willing to negotiate on the price, etc. ? What were your experiences with this... thanks in advance

its hard to haggle on special order especially now that dealers know the inventory is low here in US.

I am trying to negotiate a car now.
In my case either they work with me or I can get a different car.
As many people here have said .. .dynamic cruise control is a biggie so they have to order it to sell it. Its not our fault they dont have it,.

In most cases, when you order a car, you have given away your bargaining chip. Its no longer...you have this on the lot....and I'm here to buy it, otherwise it sits.

Now, its....you don't have what I want...but I really want this...so go get it for me.

See the difference? Sadly, your dealership does too.

I have to disagree. A sale is a sale. A car moved is a car moved.
I have been given an amazing deal now just working out a few details.

Thats alright, I am getting a great deal on my order as well. But rule of thumb, in ordering, your flexiblity disappears a little.

Also agree. I negotiated a good deal. There are not a lot of rebates/incentives for this model yet and dealers know customers are willing to take less discounts for it since it is the new hot thing on the street.

BUT, there are a lot of hidden rebates and money they can move around to drop the price more especially if they are competing with another dealer for your business. Customer retention is more important than a grand or two.
