I was wondering (maybe some others as well) if the NX is pre-wired for all options even if tthey arent installed?

For example... My NX does not have a heated steering wheel or Paddle Shift... Could it be that the wiring for these options is installed and simply capped off? or does it not exist at all. If the vehicle is prewired I was thinking of ordering a heated wheel with paddles and installing it my self...
(I'm sure that many of the NON F-sport owners have wondered about a paddle retrofit as well)

For many of the F-sport owners... I have noticed that people really miss not having cooled seats. it would be a bit more involved but if the vehicle is pre-wired then it is feasible to retrofit cooled seats into an F-sport model.

Has anyone explored the "behind the scenes" electronics?

Some options yes, some no. Seats yes, i'd assume paddle shifters no, since that's an ECU thing.

I installed a steering wheel with paddle shifters from Japanese CT on to USA CT, the paddles didn't work but the heated part did and was pre wired, but that is the CT specifically

To find this out, you would need to check how many alternative Ecus (through partnumbers) are available for Nx. Also electronic wiring diagram for each Ecu would tell what other stuff you need. If there would be only one Ecu, adding needed wires would do to trick.
I did Cruise control installation this way making needed wires in Rav4 which had no wiring, cruise lever or clucth sensor, but all Ecus have built-in cruise control.
Does anyone know is there Ewds ready to access for NA models?
