Question Advices on order

NX is super cool that I am deciding to order one. Will test drive a non F sport next week. But, there's too much choices that I have to pick, that I don't want to regret after making the decisions. I found this great forum, hope to seek your advices, if you don't mind.

1. F sport versus 200t: is it true that F sport rides is bumpier and you get more 'road' feel than 200t? I really like the F sport look but I like the smooth and quiet ride. Do you think I would be disappointed with F sport?

2. Navigation: some threads here talked about glitches in the navigation system, do you all have this problem?

3. Tires: if I go with F sport, would upgrading the tired causing a bumpier/rougher ride?

Thank you for Your opinion. 😁😁

Welcome to the forum.

1. F Sport 200t in the US is a little firmer than the non-F Sport 200t due to firmer springs and shocks. However, the front and rear performance dampers (on the F Sport only) smooths out the very small road imperfections and vibrations and on these relatively smooth roads, both models feel very similar. Most of the reviews have stated the ride quality difference is minimal between the two.

2. Not everyone has reported the issue. Seems to have affected some. I would expect Lexus to come up with a firmware upgrade as I believe they did with the IS (that had similar issues).

3. The Summer wheel/tire option on the F Sport provides lower profile 55-series rubber (Bridgestone seems to be the common tire). However, if you opt for the All Season (machined) wheel/tire option, the higher profile tires are the same size as the non F-Sport with 18" wheels - 225/60/18. This tire at this time typically is Michelin MXM4s which are quiet, softer riding tires than the Bridgestones. (See pics attached)

One other thing to check out is some of us have found the bottom seat bolsters on the F-Sport to be a little confining and has created some discomfort on longer drives. You will want to check this out by going for a longer test drive.

In the end though, you are the best judge of what is acceptable to you. Which prior vehicle are you coming from or is this your first?

Thanks for the great info. This would be my second Lexus from is250 awd. I need a SUV that is comfy as RX, but a little more excitement (both look and drive experience) than RX. Really love the look of F sport, but what's stopping me are some pure personal preferences, such interior color of flaxen, cannot be applied to f sport; the ride experience, which I will find out next week.

Can't wait to own one of these.
