yup...that's what exactly happened to me. I just came from a camry so I was just used to putting in regular.

then today I went to top off and I did it again. started putting in regular. *facepalm* I stopped after a couple of gallons and filled the rest with premium.

you'll get used to it after a while. I came from 12 years filling my RAV4 with regular...old habits are hard to break - esp when the old habit is cheaper!

This may be just a fluke, but I filled the tank up with premium gas, and did a highway only 50 mile round trip. I had the car in Economy mode, drove the speed limit of 60mph and feathered the gas the entire trip, no hard starts, just easy acceleration. Ended up with 32mpg ! Vehicle now has 2200 miles.

I leave it in normal during most of the break in. Been keeping the RPMs under 3k and boost under 7.5 pounds. After I get to 500, I'll turn sport on occasionally, and begin to drive the car a little more aggressive around 1000. After my oil change at 1,500, it will be business as usual.

Glad to know someone else likes an oil change at 1500. I do the same

I passed 7500 miles this past week on the way home from a "long weekend" trip to Charleston, SC. As of the 7295 mile mark - my last fill-up - I have averaged 24.95 MPG, with an average Fuel Cost Per Mile of $0.0984

We get around 9.5l/100km mixed (50/50 city/highway) driving in normal mode. 8.5 on the highway and as expected, Sports mode doesn't really impact highway fuel consumption unless we continuously floor it to pass the semis on single lane highways.
