OK I've warmed up to the wild look. I now think it can be good for Lexus to take such a bold step to lure more younger buyers to the brand at the entry level. Hopefully most of the lines will translate well into production.

I do have to say that is one interesting Lexus concept. Is it competing against the RR Evoque?

The point of the concept is to get a market reaction.

I for one welcome this design, they want to attract a younger Lexus buyer to become repeat brand loyalists. This means Lexus is embracing change and embracing the future. I've been happy with all of the concepts we've seen so far, the LF-GH/CT/CC/LC/NX. Lexus is hot and getting hotter.
I concur. Lexus took a big step in design with the NX concept and I Love it and welcome it as well. Bring it on Lexus...and I agree with Mike that the circle L stands for Lexus and take notice. If Lambo did it people wouldn't make a big deal about it and accept it but when Lexus does it people make a big deal about it and can't believe it...

^^ Haters gon' hate no matter how well you do. Lexus just ignore the minority who doesn't like spindle grill and do what real buyers want. Look at the sale number.

Yes it's overdone.
Yes it's a bit ugly from some angles.
Yes it's really bold and in your face.
But overall, I LOVE it. Why? Because it's a CONCEPT that's meant to grab attention, and Lexus nailed the point of a CONCEPT. Yes it looks a bit like an overdone Hyundai with all the creases, but the BIG difference is that this is a concept, while Hyundai's monstrosities are production vehicles.

This will be toned down big-time for the production model, which should still look aggressive yet also have the trademark Lexus elegance and subtlety in the design.

I think that Lexus should move to having all their headlights like this concept. The three LED lamps per headlight look is great.

The rear hatch opening appears to be very small with a high lift over. No wiper shown. What's with the razor thin rear view mirrors? The interior is a joke, just another designer's bad dream.
It looks like a transformer, where's the button you push to smooth out those creases? Body shops must be cringing.
I can't wait for the real thing.
