Default Lexus NX 200T

I recently purchased a new 2016 Lexus NX 200t, when I turn the steering wheel left I hear a knocking noise, I brought it back to the dealership to have them look at it. They have replaced several parts and have had my car for 3 weeks, I called corporate lexus to get a case manager on the case, the latest is that lexus sent an engineer out to look at the car. The dealership told me that the engineer drove 5 NX vehicles and the knocking noise is normal operation for the vehicles. I told the case manager that I wanted my money back and that I wasnt going to pay in the mid thirties for a luxury vehicle that makes knocking noises. If i buy a luxury vehicle I expect it to be as quite as a church mouse. Does this sound normal?

Mine doesn't make any noise. It seems pretty clear that they have more work to do. I'd escalate at Lexus.

I have 2017 nx 200t f sport, since February , I don't have the knocking sound on steering wheel. You need to go with him when he test drive the other car, so you know that is not normal. Or show them this threat to the engineer, so he can look for the problem.

Neither my 2015 f sport and 2016 f sport had that. I'd be just as concerned had it been making noises

No knocking noise here either.

I can say that I have never heard of a knocking steering column being normal.
