Default RainX Windshield Washer Fluid

Planning to refill using RainX washer fluid (the yellow stuff sold in Canada). Do you know if it creates problems with the sensors, as it does on BMW's, Audi's, and other Euro cars? Is it safe to use on Lexus?

I've never liked the streaky crap that is RainX, I'm not sure why so many people actually use it.

I've tried all of those washer fluids, all of the types of rain x fluid, other fluids. IMHO the ol cheap blue off brand stuff is what works the best. That Rain X fluid stains, etc.

Well yeah, it's half methanol...not just RainX but most washer fluid. The methanol keeps it from freezing in the winter and helps it evaporate faster.

If you're after the hydrophobic properties, get the original glass water repellent solution from Rain-X. That's not streaky and doesn't affect any sensors. Apply it by hand with a paper towel then buff with a microfiber towel afterwards.

I concur, I've used the yellow bottle rain-x for years with great results and no streaks.

I have been using Rain X washer fluid (the yellow version in Canada) for years and I do not notice any problems with Lexus park sensors. I also have rain repellant (Soft 99 Glaco or similar) applied on front windshield and my main reason of using Rain X washer fluid is it also contains some hydrophobic stuff which I hope it would prolong the coating I have on the windshield, at least in the winter when it is not ideal to re-apply rain repellent by hand.
