so after the update, I happened to use the nav for directions (hardly use it)
I was listening to the radio and whenever it gave instructions, I realized the radio volume remained steady. I could have sworn the radio is muted when the nav gives directions.
Anyone confirm what it's supposed to do?

I had trouble on the first attempt--saw a posted reference that his flash drive was FAT32---mine was NTFS. I reformatted the flash drive, copied the file, and it worked. I used the top plug but I don't think it matters.

When I turned my NX(2015 w/nav) on yesterday a screen popped up that said-- update available, Select now or later. I selected now and it updated pretty quick. It couldn't have been much. Anyway is this the same as doing the usb stick or was it a different update?

I think it was different one, I also installed over the air update, I think it was for app suite. Manual is for voice recognition.

Pretty sure this is correct. The update file was 74MB in size. Can't see them doing this as an over-the-air update as many people would scream about the data usage.

Maybe, but how do owners that don't frequent this site know an update is available? I doubt my dealer will inform me or even do it when I go in unless I ask them to do it.
