Hi guys, I am a 2014 Lexus IS350 owner also a car enthusiast representing FTP Motorsport which is a Taiwan based manufacture in making OEM quality CNC machined charge pipe upgrade. I am here to gauge interest from the NX crew for charge pipe development. In fact, we have already developed application for IS200t/RC200t/GS200t.

Some of you may ask what is a charge pipe, so basically a charge pipe is part of the intake system located between the turbo and intercooler. This part usually sustains a lot of stress as it’s filled with boost pressure. However, most of automakers on the market choose to make this part in plastic instead of metal due to manufacturing cost. As a result, a failed charge pipe is a very common problem for force induction engine vehicle due to heat, ECU tuning with higher boost, and wear and tear under normal usage.

I would be curious about cost and any potential warranty issues. What more can you tell us?

Warranty issues varies from dealership to dealership. Some people got a warranty issue with dealership by just replacing the intake. I have not yet got a price yet for this product but we are probably looking at similar pricing as the IS/RC/GS application.
