I ordered 2 new speakers for the left/right dash in my 2020 NX.

I would like to replace the center dash speaker as well. How the heck do you purchase ONE SINGLE speaker? Seems wasteful to have to purchase TWO when you only need ONE !

I will certainly consider it.

I expect that changing the 2 dash corner/end speakers will yield a significant improvement. The one I took out looks like a total piece of junk. I expect the center dash speaker to be just as junkie.

According to what I've read, my center speaker can take the same speaker that I purchased for the dash ends - Hertz DCX 100.3

If I like the results, I will then consider changing the center speaker as well, but I will NOT buy a single speaker. From what I've seen, you can only buy a single speaker if it is a VERY expensive one. I hate to be wasteful and so I cannot bring myself to buy a pair if I only need one.

I will keep you posted Lexuswiz and perhaps we can work something out. Of course, you have to be sure that your year NX will use the same sized speaker!
I will probably pull out the center one in a few days to inspect it and confirm the size.

In another threat here someone said the center speakers are only use for phone call and GPS voice, it will not improve music. I changed both the dash and front door speakers. I recommend going for the front door woofers than the center speaker. You get a little more bass in your music.

I believe with surround (if your car has it) the audio uses the center channel to mix.

I bought two pairs of front speakers to replace the 3.5s (x3) in my 2021 ES. also 3.5. pretty much all new lexus models use three 3.5" speakers.

I have a 2016 non-ML. Keep me posted, if you're in the US, we can def work something out. Eventually I will replace all speakers, OEM amp, and add a DSP but for now I have my kicker L7 on a Kicker SX900.4 and this one new center LOL.

.
That is funny. I just played music in my car and I did not think I heard anything from that center speaker. I suppose a better test would be to remove BOTH side dash speakers and then take a listen. I'll do that when my new side dash speakers come this weekend.

Yea, I could be wrong, the sound could of bounce from the windshield and I can't tell its directly from the center speakers.
Guess I can try open the cover and see if there are any rumble on the speaker paper cone.

I've installed new from (side) dash speakers (Hertz DCX 100.3).

There is definitely an improvement in the quality of the sound, but not as much as I had expected. Still, I believe it was worth the cost ($100/pair) and the effort.

There was not much work involved in making this change. I concluded that there was no sound coming out of the center dash speaker, so perhaps it is used only for the Enform system.

Yes, dont expect too much with little modify. You will need to add an amp and DAC to push those speakers to full potential.

I put my phone in to do sound recording in the center speaker no sound playing Apple with carplay music.

Do you think I will notice any difference replacing the front door speakers? I'm really not looking for any more VOLUME. I think the 'power' of this stock system is sufficient. I'm looking for better sound quality. (please don't suggest I replace the entire system!)

I am hoping that by replacing the speakers I will get better sound. As I said, I noticed an improvement with replacing those dash speakers and I'm hoping for more with the front door speakers.
