Garnish was knocked off. Was told it was easy to replace. I got a new garnish from lexus and clips. Not sure where the plastic clips come in as I didn't have these clips when old garnish came off. It was hard to remove the chrome pieces from the car were screwed on. I got them off. I don't want to attach and mess it up where it won't come off easily if not attached correctly. Has anyone done this? Thanks.

May I ask how it came off? Was it a simple event that caused it (e.g. leaning on the piece).

The reason I ask is if it was something casual, I want to be careful.

My nephew backed out of the garage with the lift gate open. Luckily this was the only damage caused. I actually just snapped the replacement garnish (as they call it) and its in pretty good. I just don't understand why there were screws that went into the garnish from the car side and there doesn't appear to be threads in the garnish. It is pretty snug and doesn't seem like it will fall off. Thx.

Garnish? I never heard the term used for a car.

That's what Lexus calls this part. I've never heard of the color Nebula either. But that what they call charcoal gray.
