Default 🔥New to the forum🔥 NX lease question.

Hello everyone I'm new here and im planning to lease a Lexus NX 200t F sport AWD as my first car.
MSRP: $42,690
Miles : 12,000/yr
Downpayment : $5000
I don't have a credit card so my dad would be doing all the paperwork ( co sign?) he has a credit score of over 800.
So my question is that since I'm a new driver (in NYC) what is a reasonable amount for me to pay for insurance and lease payments a month?
I'm sorry if this might seem vague or what not but I really have no experience with car leasing/buying and such. Thanks in advance!!!

For starters, insurance companies (and us, if you want opinions) need to know your age, marital status, driving violation history, accident history, education level, occupation, number of years you've been driving, etc.

Without this, we (as well as insurance companies) have no idea what your insurance payments would be.

As far as the lease payments, that depends on what the agreed-upon residual value on the contact is (among other things).

Ooh thanks for telling me that. Single, 19 in college. No previous driving record at all.

Also keep in mind that when leasing the lienholder (Bank) will require you to have higher insurance limits and lower deductibles than what you might already have. This can significantly increase the cost of insurance for you, especially since you are young.

Wow, 42k ish is pretty cheap! i got mine way more than that lol. but I am in Bay area in California. and I can just let you know my insurance is around 1400 for the whole year as I am also a student when i got my car. if you can, try good student discount. hope this helps. but yeah just go get some quote for different company if you can. maybe can you just under your dad insurance, might be even cheaper.
