I've had this issue from the beginning (which was 3 weeks ago). Every time I let go of the brake pedal to reverse after startup the brakes creak loudly. It's very discomfiting to hear. There's probably nothing actually wrong mechanically, but how do I make this noise go away?

Is it just a new brakes thing? Moisture?

This NX makes so many weird noises with the brakes. I've never been in a car with such weird brake sounds. It's a combination of the electronic parking brake and the hybrid regenerative breaking that's making all the noises.

You may need to apply some lube on your bushings.

Brake rotors are iron and surface rust can form in wet wether. It takes a few feet of braking to clear the surface rust from the rotors. Rust like this is normal, no worries

Not uncommon for a brand new NX. It (the creak) disappeared over time with mine.
