Just got my brand new NX, so glad I found this forum!

Surprised I see no write ups on hard wiring a radar in the NX.

Does anyone know if you can tap the power near the mirror. I assume somewhere in the headliner? In my last car I was able to tap the plug going into the mirror.

If you tap into any wiring you will void your electrical part of your warranty.

That is not correct.

I have done this is 5+ cars and have never once had an issue with voiding the warranty.

If the dealer (or manufacturer) believes that it did void the warranty, they would have to provide proof of why it voids the warranty.

Regardless, it is a non-issue

Despite what some may say, I looked through ALL of this Lexus forum & found a wiring setup for a front facing camera & used that wiring. It works great, grounded to the frame all in the above moon roof control panel. Easy to take off panel. Do a search for a front facing camera & it's with that. Sorry, I don't have the link. I did what it said & the only problem is, it's "hot" all the time so I have to turn off the radar detector itself, but otherwise, works great! good luck! (I think the wiring was for a camera in a GS350??)
