Q for early NX Non-Sport adopters re seat comfort
Background: I drive a '13 Santa Fe Sport, top trim. Seats... very comfortable, even after 80k km.
Test-drove a '17 SFS Ultimate today and could not get to a comfortable seat position.
Don't know if simply too new. More research needed.
Memory of NX300h test drive... very comfortable. The vehicle had some milage since it was a demonstrator, but not very high.
I don't know if my seats are simply "broken in" or if Hyundai changed seats.
My question to the early adopter of Non-Sport NX is whether you noticed seats getting better, worse or remained fairly constant from early '15 to today.
I was going to head for the Lexus dealer for a fresh comparison but since he's 45 minutes away I thought I'd ask here first. Comfort is my #1 requirement, which is why the NX Sport didn't make the cut. I know that there are many folks loving the 'Sport but my elderly butt does not

I think you have to go sit in different seats. I found the F sport seats ver good, very comfortable for long trips. 4 days after buying my NX F sport my wife and I left on a 2500 mile road trip. The seats were very supportive although I would have liked the ability to move the lumbar support up or down.
On the other end of eh spectrum was the Lincoln mkC which I really liked the power train with it's 280hp 2.3L turbo but the seats are very flat, very soft, offer little support. Not my taste but each person is different.

Thank you for your comments Mr645.
We have sat in a lot of seats during the last 6 months, including MB's, Audi's, BMW and MKC/MKX.
The NX survived and the SFS survived due to our current experience with our SFS.
SFS needs more time. Maybe unconsciously my back wants an NX
Of primary interest now is longevity.
Simply getting fussy I guess.

Pole Position
We bought our NX with 4550 miles on it, (it was a demo). The seats have been comfortable for both of us and have not changed since purchase. The car has 11000 miles now.

The seats have a breaking period hey soften a bit after a while, they might be a bit uncomfortable if you are overweight. I'm 5.09 with 230 lb. and they were a bit of tight fit a the begging, also uncomfortable specially around the legs, because of the bucket seat style.
My Nx is going to have his anniversary on 08/16 only 3k so far, now the seats feels much better than the beginning. We have a rav4 2016 and they have the same design, had a murano before and it was like sitting on a couch..also the cr-v plenty of room.
