Default Aem intake

I like it however
Every time the turbo spools the filter hisses pretty LOUD because its behind the drivers side firewall. (This might become irritating to some drivers.)

You will sometime hear the blow off valve

Really don't recommend it for those who like a quiet cabin.

I will post a sound clip eventually

Last winter I parked the car for 2 weeks and when I returned the dash cam drained the battery. It was suppose to auto switch off below a certain voltage but never did. I paid DVP Lexus to recharge the battery but it was never the same.
Whenever I start the car the seats and steering would stop moving until the car turns on.
Just didn't want to worry anymore about the battery in winter.

Thanks bman for showing that AEM intake! I have seriously considered it, because it is one of a few that is even made for the NX! The only question I have is where they put the
air cleaner piece, isn't it only going to "suck in" hot air from the engine compartment? I don't see how it would get "cold air intake" from there? Correct me if I'm wrong, b/c that's
pretty much the same pic they have on their website too, just like your pic. Also, does your 'butt dyno" feel any better? Have you done a real dyno on it yet? Thanks for any info
you can give!

Hey NXBLUE - There is a tubing that runs into the bumper to direct air behind the heat shield to the filter, Its actually below your existing intake box. I do get a better throttle response with acceleration however I have no intentions of taking the car to the dyno until more motor upgrades are done. If you do consider installing the intake remember the intake will be directly behind the firewall on the drivers side. (You will hear the air being sucked into the filter when the turbo spools.) It took me some time to get used to this sound but the occasional launch every now and then is worth the head turns.

Thanks bman for the response. I will take the noisy air right behind the firewall into account when deciding to do it or not. I miss the extra "punch" that my RDX's had over the
NX, even though it's not bad now. The RDX's were noisier anyway, so I think the NX is much quieter than what I had before. I'd be curious what it does for mileage, even though
it's more for the extra kick! Thanks again!

Personally I think the stock front lip is already too low compared to the sides and rear of this car. The artisan front needs the side and back to look balanced. I believe the TRD kit only comes front and rear, might be worth it to look at that kit. If you have the running boards on the sides however you may be able to pull off any of the front lips.

Hope this helps
