Has anyone upgraded their exhaust? Tom's has a sweat system.

This exhaust requires a different rear splitter. So, on top of the overpriced $1800, you have to buy a rear clip and replace that as well. My concern is that they say "stainless steel" but do not detail what type of stainless steel is used. Furthermore, there is no pictures showing the weld quality.

For the price ($200 cheaper, and you get up to the cat) and ease of installation, the Apexi looks to be better as you can use the factory clip. Apexi also details the type of stainless they use, which to me is important.

The website for apexi can be found with a simple google search lol

www.apexi-usa.com

I would recommend contacting the company directly over the phone if you have questions. Much easier than trying to talk through a vendor, plus, unless the vendor can beat the price, no reason not to order it directly through the company.

Apexi is offering a cat back (as seen on the site), but if you want quieter, and just want the look, you can get just the axle back section. You'd have to discuss that with them over the phone though. They aren't going to offer this to the public normally to my knowledge. Its a modular design, so you can buy the axel back, and then if you want more volume later, order just the cat back additional section.

Just listened to it on their instagram. Pleasantly surprised, for a 4 cyl, sounds good!

You picked up an RC-F? Nice!

And agree, it sounds "good" but in the end still sounds like a ringing 4 cylinder. Not sure there is any method to make it sound actually good, but apexi seems to have done a decent job

Yeah, thanks - took the plunge. Feels so rigid, substantial, and very special, truly worthy of its price.

And speaking of exhaust note, yeah the NX is still a four cylinder. The best sounding 4 cyls to my ears come from the Subaru boxer engines. But still, pretty good job from Apexi on the NX all considering...

The exhaust note decent for a four cylinder. Is a sound clip with the NX accelerating out in the street?

Buy one and find out

Or you could just buy the back section, see if you like the tone, and if you want it louder, buy the upstream section later.
