Add address to NAV
My Garmin has a bluetooth connection with my iPhone where i can go to my contacts on my iPhone and transfer the information to my Garmin NAV. No typing, no cut and paste, just connect and click a few buttons. It seems that adding an address on the Lexus NAV is work. Looking forward to Car Play on my NX.

I'll check out the 'dbl din Pioneer w/carplay' option Thx
In talking to Crutchfield, who sells various aftermarket Apple carplay options, they do not recommend replacing "the radio" in the 2002 RX300 with anything at all. But thanks for the possibility, and I will have someone less 'electronically challenged' than I check this out for me.

My beef is with the navigation. It is always sending me wonky routes that google maps or waze would never allow. Even apple maps would be better. I just bought my car and I have already started to use my phone for navigation instead of the built in that I paid extra for. Example: la to sacramento is a straight shot up the I5, but my lexus nav had me going into downtown stockton. It is basically worthless.

Also, as an FYI—before you start driving to your destination—you have a chance to preview and choose from three different routes (fastest, alternative, shortest).

one of the best features of my NX is the app suite, using the Destination Search and then Saved Destinations.
When I get into car, I simply sync saved destination and GO. Takes too long to enter addresses into the head unit.

this is why i did not want to get the upgrade for nav. It was not user friendly at all when I test drove. Better navigation on my phone.
