I've made an appointment with a tire shop for early next month and I'm not going to be installing the TPMS. I'm very glad that the car will not bug me too much about it so that saves me a bit of money.

Crispy

I live in Kitchener as well and picked up my NX in July. Heffner actually had a promo on the 18" OEM Lexus wheels, Winters, TPMS, installed, one year storage etc. for $2,299.00 + tax (regular $2,699.00 + tax). I know when I ordered mine they only had two other sets left and that was back in September.

A local tire shop told me that the F-Sport may need 18" wheels and there are wheel brand sites that do not even show 17" wheels as an option if you have an F-Sport.

I'm beginning to think that 17" wheels may not be the best choice if they don't fit well. Has anyone put 17" wheels on an F-Sport?

I have 17" alloys on an F Sport series 1 and they fit fine. 17" steeles will NOT fit.

But I saw in another post here that an F Sport series 2 will not fit 17's.

Since I'm going for 17" alloys (RTX wheels), I'm hoping that they will fit when I get to the store.

I'll have to dig up that post that you read..

Really? I was quoted only $2000 for the 18's, and decided to get the 17s' for $1,800, including all of the extras. I am not getting them installed for a couple weeks, so they are just ordering them in.

That seems like a steal for OEM wheels... Are you getting really cheap tires?

The $2,000.00 price you got quoted was the aftermarket wheel and tire package (I spoke to Craig in parts). It is actually $1,925.00 + Tax. The 18" OEM Lexus Wheel and Michelin Latitude X-Ice Tires, etc. was offered at $2,299.00 + Tax (discounted $400.00 from their regular price).

The aftermarket wheels would explain the cheaper price.

The Latitude Xi2 are quite subpar compared to X-Ice Xi3. This is why the Xi3 was given it's own line (X-Ice) for the 3rd gen. I would dish out the couple extra bucks for current modern tread technology if you're going to get a quality set.

@crispy, if you're willing to spent $600+ for illuminated cupholders, I wouldn't cheap out on tires and wheels!

Yes, that was for aftermarket wheels, which I am more than happy with for winter. and the tires are x-ice 2, not x-ice

Also, I was quoted $1,800 + tx for the after market 17s wheels.. Are you saying it is only $125 more for the OEMs'??

Touché

The X-Ice 3 are not available for the NX, I've checked multiple dealers, and on-line search tools.

I just asked for the best tire/wheel combo that they had, and this is what they recommended. I think the aftermarket wheels look great, and I will get them to put the OEM Lexus wheel caps in them..

Having experienced first hand the Xi2 and Xi3 generations, I strongly recommend the Xi3. You will not be disappointed.

Looks like Costco has them for a decent price too. But are currently out of stock.

No, that is not what I am saying. I responded to your original comment when you said you were quoted ONLY $2,000.00 for the 18" package after I explained the $2,299.00 price was for the 18" OEM Package. I was just trying to clarify some of the confusion with other posts with regards to price (my communication skills are obviously lacking)

The Aftermarket Wheel / Tire combo 18" is $1,925.00 + tax
The Aftermarket Wheel / Tire combo 17" is $1,800.00 + tax (which you got)
The OEM Wheel / Tire Combo 18" is $2,299.00 + tax (which I got)

No biggie, just trying to clarify the pricing from the dealership in our area, for other members in other areas as a comparison.

Ahhh ok, sorry.. Too many posts to keep track! lol..

$2299 is a good price for the OEMs. I thought they would have been a lot more than that. I wonder how much it would be for the 17" OEMs.

No worries, and you're right, lots of posts so some confusion is bound to set in.

I only saw the three options, I outlined above, available and I don't know if there was a 17" OEM package available or not. They had 10 packages available at the promo price for the 18" OEM set. It was a $400.00 + tax discount and I thought it was fair (I would not have paid the regular price). I would have got the aftermarket package as I like those wheels as well.

This forum is full of great people that truly want to help. I have had so much help over the years, I was just trying to provide information that maybe others could find helpful.

I am sure what we got for the winter will serve both of us the same.
