Anyone has an issue with A/C
#35
Have not tried this in my RC but in the NX running in Eco and the AC set to Auto it never gets up to the top fan speed even on the hottest of days. I know that I can manually raise it to the highest speed. Always one down from the fastest speed. Is that normal?

try this: in Eco, set 72 degrees on a hot day, then turn to Normal....AC is blasting cold air and fan speed jumps 2-3 levels.

Mine began blowing hot air even with outside vent circulation button pushed. The A/C doesn't come on at all now. When it was working I also found that it takes an unusual amount of time for the fan to begin blowing the A/C air to cool. I was thinking it was a creative way that Lexus was not blowing the hot air inside the air ducts in your face if the car was sitting outside for a long time. Well now I have no A/C. Called dealer and then my salesman so there seems to be a problem with A/C and the part is back ordered for approx. 3 weeks. Temporary solution is to by-pass something so my A/C runs all the time. Nice. I drive in sport mode all the time. I have a sun reflector and use all the time. Less than 10k on the clock. So well see. If I get any part numbers and or solutions will pass on information.

IMO the A/C on the NX isn't the best, the fan doesn't blow much, and not sure what else is wrong. I live in the lovely sunshine state so it get's HOT, I have to put the fan almost to the max speed and the temp to 74F to cool, on my wife's rav 4 I put the fan at 50% and the temp at 76-77F and it cools a lot better.

i never touch fan here in socal. Just 74 degrees on Auto. Fan does what it needs to do to cool.
No issues, but I find the air does take longer to initialize than previous Lexus vehicles.

Dealer Results....
So took my NX in on Monday 9-11 and this is what they did. They ran a complete check on system and found nothing wrong. The adviser says they made an adjustment in the computer. Something to do with the fan speed. No replacement of any parts. So well see. As most dealers do is "could not duplicate the problem" . So I'm keeping an eye on things and will see. Seems fan stays on high all the time and temperature is still adjustable to cold or hot. Incidentally they gave me a RX for a loaner and the A/C was way better but it is a bigger dash area for a bigger fan. I think with the small interior we have the fan is doing it's best considering. One vital assesory is an interior sunshield. So we have to work with what we have.

Went to lexus dealer but their feedback is not reliable and the feedback was ways slo
I am very unimpressed to use the NX200t. A/C problem keeps happening concurrently and none of the authorized dealers provides reliable feedback. I come here to learn some comments before I decide what s next.
So, probably I shouldn't use eco mode.

Eco always affects A/C! When in Normal mode the fan will run at its top speed when the car is 1st cooling off and then slow down if left in Auto. When in Eco mode fan does not get to top speed when it starts but will adjust if left in Auto as required. When it is hot out don't use Eco when first starting car. After it cools off you could use Eco as long as the cabin temp is comfortable.
This is the same for all Toyota/Lexus products.
