Smile Family Roadtrip from Toronto to Washington to South Jersey and back

I'll let the pics do most of the talking. I'll update as the trip progresses.

Let the trip begin. Love driving early AM as it's cooler and no traffic.

Crossed the border, briefly through NY state, now in PA.

First stop. American patriotism strong and evident.

Need to reduce speed before entering the Allegheny Tunnel.

Love this shot. No filters. Looks faster than 57 mph.

Convenient display of speed limit in the HUD. Does not show up in any roads in Canada for some reason.

Not a single NX seen so far. RX closest relative!

Tolls, and more tolls, but it's a time saver.

On our way to the nation's capital.

Make that $5 in Canada!

DarthNX is thirsty.

Hit 10k km! Will post this in the mileage milestones thread.

Smile Arrived in DC

Arrived in Washington!

Calm drivers, with the exception of the Scion tC who cut me off at over 40 mph inches from hitting me. Texas plate, not DC though.

Arrived at the hotel!

Parked indoors, secure parking.

Nice road trip.
How's the ride quality with the tire/wheel set up that looks great?

Ride on the 22s is nearly as good as stock on most smooth to irregular road surfaces, but is harsh over a sharp bump or pothole which I now pay extra attention to avoid. If you drive over rough old city roads daily, avoid this size.

Thanks. I've been to the south Jersey beaches Wildwood, Ocean City, Cape May almost yearly since I was born, so I know the Garden State and Atlantic City Pkwys can get crazy busy. But love the boardwalks and my kids love them too carrying on with the tradition.

I hope you bought gas in NJ. It is cheaper than many of the neighboring states.

Good to know. Right now though, any state is cheaper than the cheapest price in Canada.

Default More Washington pics

Finally, the FIRST NX I see in the US. Is this anyone's in the forum?

The Castle -Visitor starting point- at the Smithsonian.

Another in the same day! Anyone's?

Classic LS with the US Capitol building at back.

Great pics ! I went on a day trip to NC yesterday, and not one NX on the road going or coming back to VA.
That red one in your pic has a Kia close behind it....hope the NX doesn't loose part of the rear end if the Kia tries to leave first ...

Thought that Matador Red was my car, then I realized I didn't drive it to work yesterday, and I wasn't playing hooky from work, hanging out at the Smithsonian Mall area. Most of the NX I see in the DC area are Nebula Gray and the Silvers.

And if you see calm DC driving, it's an exception, tourist or someone on medication.
