Coatings are in no way, shape, or form meant to prevent swirls... as you and I have already mentioned, this is very much a product of how you take care of the car.

The benefit to a paint coating is the protection... protection from the environment that is. Not from swirls. A paint coating serves the same general purpose as a wax or sealant in that it will provide a sacrificial barrier which will help to prevent harmful contamination from penetrating the surface of protection and damaging your paint. The main differences between a coating and traditional waxes or sealants are that a coating is WAY more chemical resistant and WAY thicker than any wax or sealant will be. These two traits contribute directly to much better protection.

To go along with protection, coatings will resist dirt and contamination better than traditional products, which makes maintenance easier. You will not have to wax your vehicle once it has been properly coated, again making maintenance easier.
