Thumbs up Carisa Worked

Hi all. Just wanted to let everyone I used a cheapo bluetooth OBD2 device I got on amazon for $10 and paired it with the Carisa android app and it worked great!

There are pages of settings that are not available from the menu. Some I didn't even dare touch like AC control settings on Eco mode, etc.

I was able to change the seatbelt ding for driver and passenger as well as unlock all 4 doors with the remote, key and smartkey. I can't stress how much this was worth the $20 for the app. Yes the dealer couldve done this but its a 50 mile drive for me.

There are so many lighting, AC, door, rear hatch, seating controls with so most of them having 3 options. For sure it was worth it.

Btw, the bluetooth thing I got was called Elm 327 on amazon. Its the blue mid sized unit with the 3 colored lights on it. About $10 to $12. I didn't have to buy the Carisa one that was $39.

There are quite a few on Amazon when I search for "Elm 327". Could you post a direct link to the one your ordered?

Thanks!

Which setting did you use for the dinging? The headlight one?

Have a carista question. Currently when I am using Lexus Enform with lets say Iheart, if i am moving, I cant get past 2 pages of favorites. if stopped I can get to page 3 and beyond. Is the setting that prevents accessing page 3 and beyond when moving changeable with carista?

There's not such setting in Carista and I don't think the car actually supports such configuration.

Is there a way to hide audio apps (iHeart, etc.) that you don't want or haven't configured? I know you can re-rder, but very annoying to use the audio cycle function to get back round when you first have to cycle through all the other crap. Thinking not possible, but nonetheless wanted to pose the question.

Cheers

Carista, many months have passed since the mention of TPMS programming availability. Is this available now?

Also there is no option on my NX to disable the DRL. Is there anyway that can be added?

Yes. Very interested in TPMS programming as well... We are nearing the season to change back to summer tires.

Does anyone know or can confirm if using this tool/app to customize settings voids any vehicle (2014 Lexus IS250) warranties? Thanks!
