NX Buyer Age Group
#46
Everyone has to know that this is not a scientific poll, and not indicative of the actual buyer age breakdown. These numbers only represent the ages of those NX buyers who have come to this site and registered, and actually responded to the poll.

Over 60+ and counting
Hooray for the over 60s. Going ape over the NX design (edgy), features (lots of bells and whistles), and size (just right) is what keeps me young and my ticker ticking (like a Timex). My 200t comes in in 19 days (give or take).
I'll trade in to add the body colored wheel arch, folding mirrors, and pano-roof in a couple of years.
Superior car!! 4 month wait. Lexus #5.

Interesting. The forum averages a younger high 30s age group (at this time) which is no surprise since the younger demographic frequents social media and forums more.

Remember that Lexus has a loyal customer base. Also, the data can easily be skewed since in most parts of the country you can't own a car until 16 or 17. Most likely you will be in your 20s when buying a Lexus (on the young end). Now on the old end if an 75 year old buys a Lexus it can skew the data since you are more likely to get 10 individuals who are 75 or above buying a Lexus than 10 individuals age 25 or below.
It would be interesting if data was released for the Median age.

I'm 61, had a dozen cars before, from Ford to Olds to Cady to Maxima to Murano.
Just got nx last week and put on first 100ml. Very happy with it as it fits the bill to the t and is fun.

I think most brands are susceptible to what you call "age skewing" so it shouldn't be a major factor.

Think of entry level vehicles like a Yaris, a Scion, or an inexpensive fun car like a Subaru BRZ / WRX or a VW Golf where you can add spoilers and big exhausts. They tend to get a lower age bracket than a luxury brand. They may attract many more 25 year olds than 65 year olds.
