Crash-Testing a Lexus NX is a Hard Job, but Someone Has to Do It

So you've got a new job with the government. You get a Lexus NX of your choice - whether it's the 300h hybrid or the 200t - as your official work vehicle. Wait a minute. Why does your NX have those weird markings on it? Why's that guy hooking up a yellow strap to your new ride? Uh oh...

Wow, okay so 2 things.

Its amazing how quickly the air bags deploy and inflate...pretty stunning really.

Its amazing how the exterior of the body looks so unscathed (besides the front end of course) in the head on 35 mph test, yet there is total havoc going on underneath the vehicle! The camera from below is really interesting.

Thanks for posting.

Excellent crash-worthiness. Even the dreaded small offset test got a good rating.

With the NX's intro, the '15 RAV4 benefitted from its cousin's structural reinforcements, elevating it from a Poor ('13) to Good ('15) rating.
