You want to get a crossover and see what your neighbor is always bragging about. You also want to shut him up by bringing home one that's fancier than his, so you're either going to buy a Lexus NX200t F Sport or a Mercedes-Benz GLA250 4MATIC.

Lexus Champion
I still don't understand why so many publications/reviewers compare the NX with the MB GLA. It seems that the GLK (along with X3, Q5, RDX, MKC etc.) is clearly it's competition in the compact luxury CUV segment.

Agree also.
When I was shopping around, the only models I considered were the Lexus NX, BMW X3, Audi Q5, Porsche Macan (base model) and Range Rover Evoque.
The Mercedes GLA wasn't even on my radar, because frankly it is a "Sub-compact Luxury Crossover", rather than a "Compact Luxury Crossover". And it looks more like a low-rise stationwagon.
And all the others (in particular the Evoque) ended up being a fail for me, simply on grounds of reliability.
There was just no way I could pay any extra for a Euro vehicle, to get an ultimately inferior product to Lexus. It's simply a no brainer on two fronts (price and quality) - a fact that far too reviews seem to take into account, because they barely mention the predictive long-term reliability of vehicles.

The pursuit of F
Only one logical conclusion some journalists keep comparing the NX to the sub-compacts...
Much like the RX, because the smaller competition costs as much as the NX!
