Default Roof Rack

My dealer put the cross bars on my car today and I just wanted to make sure they are on correctly. I assume FL means Front Left and RL means Rear Left and the "Left" is on driver's side? I didn't get any instructions on how to take them off or put them back on. Do they normally come with instructions? Thanks

One tip for everyone that I have learned on the cross bars since using them all summer. I have J-rack on them for kayaks and if I move those all the way toward the outside of the car and leave them tightened down on the cross-bars then I cannot get the cross-bars off. I have to loosen the J-racks and slightly slide them back so the cross-bars have some wiggle room to come off the roof rails.

Now I know this will vary for everyone and the types of things they put on the cross-bars, but still thought I would put it out there as I really struggled one time to get them off, took me over 30 minutes to do one before I figured out why it wasn't working.

How much do the roof racks raise the highest point of the car? I'm wondering if it will clear my garage with the racks on.

Default Roof Rack for the NX

Hey guys, can anyone recommend a good roof rack for bicycles & snowboards that's easy to install?

Thanks!

i installed the lexus one because i couldn't find any aftermarket versions. it was easy to install. took about 45 minutes--i wanted to go slowly and not screw anything up. now that i've done it once, removal/reinstallation should only be about a 10 minute job.

My 300H fwd does not come with the chromed/ stainless roof rail. Mine are black...I guess only the Awd 300H comes with the rail. (Talking about hybrid NX)

I am looking to buy a Thule Force as well for my NX300H and I was wondering if anyone has the Large OR X-Large size. Do you think the Large or X-Large size will be too big for our cars? Thanks.

Has anybody looked into these G3 Roof Racks? They are made specifically for the NX and come in variations that attach to NX models with or without roof rails. They are so cheap, and the company seems legit, so I really want to try them out. I just want to find out if anyone else on this thread has purchased or heard of these? I just emailed the company to ask them a bunch of questions.

Let me know what you guys think.

This looks like a great fit for the NX, also looking to pickup the Thule Force Medium cargo box. I have roof rails and factory Lexus crossbars, can I just buy this box and put it on? Do i need any additional accessories or parts from Thule?

Stupid question but with the genuine Lexus cross bars, when the sunroof opens all the way up, does the glass touch or hit the bars?

The bars doesn't limit any functionality of the sunroof rift? Thanks
