Engine Block Heater
Does anyone know if Lexus sells a generic block heater that could fit the NX? I would have ordered one with the car, but it wasn't an option in the build list.

In most Canadian provinces, block heaters are mandatory equipment. However, they are installed afterwards by the dealer during the PDI. In Canada, the price is about $250. I'm not sure if the block heater is a "generic" Lexus accessory, but I'm sure your dealer would have it.

I will contact my dealer. Reason being, my car will most likely have to sit outside, and we are getting temperatures around 0*F, so a block heater would be ideal.
Is it possible to get the Canadian block heater and use it? Does anyone know if their dealer would be willing to sell it to me at unit price?
How hard is it to install? I would assume this is just a small resistance heater that is placed onto the bottom of the block?
Thanks

In my own cross-border shopping experience, you will be unlikely to find a dealer willing to ship you the Canadian block heater. Toyota/Lexus has strict rules that "prevent market disruption". I'm sure the accessory is universal for North America (both 110V, 3-prong type).
I can't speak to the installation process, as I've never see the block heater outside of a car before. Having lived in the Canadian Prairies my whole life, every car I've ever owned has always had a block heater.

I can't seem to find my block heater. I have bought two Toyotas befor they always came with one. Does anyone have a picture of where it gets stored in the summer? It's a nx300h I'm up in Winnipeg where it's generally mandatory -30 c tonight

Balein, check that it's not curled up neatly. My dealer tucked it away behind the battery. The majority of Lexus owners will never use the block heater but I believe it's a wise idea when it's -30°C, especially away from home where someone else is paying for the power.
