Since the insurance company will be giving money for the car that was stolen, my dad was planning on putting 20k as downpayment in order to reduce the monthly payment and use the rest for other expenses. Is it weird? or does people usually put less as downpayment. I'm not sure haha

Not unusual at all. I always put as much down as my budget would allow to reduce my monthly payments. However, it can also depend on the interest rate. For example, if it were a zero interest loan and you are taking money out of a savings account earning 2% interest, then you are losing money. But this isn't a zero interest loan and I doubt there are any 2% savings accounts out there anymore (although it could be in any earning investment - I just chose savings as an illustration for simplicity) but you get the idea. Anyway, I would likely do the same thing if I were in his situation! Enjoy the new car!

Yeah! I wish 2% savings account existed. We have this bank called Tangerine that gives 2-3% interest rate for 6months when you join them. But that's it. Thank you! Hopefully I get to join the Lexus family too in a few years! I just hope what my dad will pay wasn't overpriced LOL

Hi Jack, see below of the sales contract terms. There is nothing out of ordinary except 1 thing…Windows etching that listed as $995.

Keyes would not negotiate at all on this fee which is a profit for them. The sales director explained to me that the charge is from factory and every dealership has something similar added to the price that cannot be removed. Since it did not affect the negotiated price so I let it go. Besides, I know I wouldn't get another deal like it.

I definitely would negotiate harder had I known this charge beforehand.

Sticker = $45,545
Actual price = $39,482
Theft code-dtrnt = $995
Document fee = $85
Registration electronic transfer = $30
Sales tax = $3,853.46
License and registration = $553.75
Total = $45K

BTW, ask for Ider Gongor, he is a good sales person.

I hope this information helps

Alex

I recently purchased a NX 300 AWD Black Line edition in the Pacific Northwest for $39,000 after dealer discount, rebates, and dealer add ons.
The Black Line has aggressive rebates ($4,500 worth) as they've been sitting on west coast dealer lots for over 180 days. Every dealer in the PNW has multiple on their lot, (sometimes 10+). Engine compartment, fuel cap area, and rusted out brake rotors show how long they've sat, in addition to running the VINs.

This was my price break down. I had to finance with LFS at 4.99%, but there is no early pre-payment penalty. Can finance as little as $5,000 and receive the rebates.

Sticker = $47,235
Selling Price = $43,610
Accessories = + $890
Rebate = - $5,500

Final Selling Price: $39,000
Tax = $4,806
Doc Fee = $150
License Fee = $674.75

Total = $44,630.75

I do think I left some money on the table, but I was ok with the price for the PNW region, considering I didn't buy at the end of the month when volume sales incentives hit. Volume dealers in Southern and Northern California had more competitive dealer discounts, but I didn't feel like driving the car up from CA. You can probably push for a $4,200 dealer discount, which is what I could get from California dealers.

My NX300 Black Line FWD breakdown:

MSRP: 46,024, includes options
Discount: 3,324
Rebates: 4,500 ($2K + $2.5K)
OTD: 42,626
Finance with my CU: 2.74% - couldn't get the LFS 0% with the $2.5K rebate, only $2K.

It was pretty easy and painless, all done via email.

2019 NX300 Fsport, used.
22k miles
cold weather package
electrochromic rear view mirror
power rear door

dealer asking $36k. We thought all of them came with heated and ventilated seats. Guess we were wrong! Was a deal breaker for us and we really did not want to purchase but my wife decided we can take a shot with an offer. We lowballed for $34k out the door since we drove 75 miles to see the car and were ready to purchase already. Surprised they took it!

Was it a good deal?
