Performed this mod over the weekend on my wife's NX. VERY easy and quick mod. Makes the hatch area look so much better, and no hot incandescent lights as OP. Thank you @cb80923 for the write up, where to buy, and the information!

Leelyss, did you do the same MOD as cb80923 did from the post, or did you do the replacement bulb suggested later on in the thread? I am assuming you did the same as the OP did, but just want to make sure.

Good deal. I really like mine. Thinking about another project - courtesy light mod for the front doors that brightens things up a bit at night when I open the doors - but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Let me know what you do. That is the other complaint from my wife. Way too dim lighting at night, especially compared to her Range Rover she traded in for it.

Thanks Leelyss, that is what I figured, just wanted to make sure. I like this mod, hope to take delivery of our 300h on Friday, maybe, then if we do I'll order this and get it installed.

can you take a pic of the backup lights, ideally with one side LED and one side original. When I switched mine, I couldn't really say it was brighter, but I figured it would generate a little less heat, so I left the LED backup lights in.

2016 cargo lights use the wedge type connectors and not the fuse/festoon type
