My mileage is about the same. When the empty message illuminates, I also have about 3 gallons left. (All newer cars I've owned have had 2.5 to 3 gallons remaining when the empty light comes on.) I'd say your NX is normal.

The reason for a reserve is simple - the fuel pump needs fuel to keep it cool. I use the 1/4 tank strategy this keeps my pump cool and out of the crap on the bottom of the tank from getting into my injectors or clogging a filter. They should just tell people especially in hybrids the tank holds 12.9 usable gallons etc.

Also keep sloshing to a minimum. (which stirs up crap on the tanks bottom) I'm also getting 24-25.....mpg.

On my F-sport with just under 800 miles is showing about 17.1 mpg...we live in the coastal hills of Northern California. Our 2 lane road is twisty. It is about 15 miles long...and I only drive another 5-10 miles after that for my shopping trips. We have always gotten sucky gas mileage because of our 2 lane road.

My NX also has just under 800 miles. I just use eco, & drive 65mph + under (for the first 1000 miles) to break it in, though the manual only says no "excessive speed" for the first 1000, but babying it at first can't hurt, right?

50% City(usually 40-45mph), 50% Highway(75mph limit, I go 65), is about 28.5-29 mpg. If I keep it at 45-55mph, it goes up to about 30-30.5 mpg.

This car is so smooth and fun to cruise around in. My all-time favorite new car, and only bought it 2 weeks ago!! My wife & I are hooked.....

I'm pretty happy with my NX 300h. I'm getting on average 6L/100km which is 40 US MPG per tank. I am super happy with the consumption. And that is with very bad traffic in the city.

We just filled up this week. This was only our second tank, so we have about 900 miles on the ODO at this point. This tank was about 80% city, 20% highway. We got 34.8 MPG calculated.

That's pretty good!

I can run in electric on the highway in the morning as there is quite a bit of traffic. I can get to my home to the city (around 20km) and I can keep the car under 80km/h so I get 4L/100km (about 60 US mpg).

It's amazing.

That is remarkable. You must have a different fuel blend or perfect conditions during your particular drive route. I might be able to achieve 40mpg but that would really take some doing. I have been able to get 40.9 in our hybrid ES sedan, but it weighs about 500 pounds less and is front wheel drive vs AWD on the NX. Otherwise, same ICE and main electric drive motor.

I don't think it has much to do with fuel, rather my ability to run very long distances in EV mode.

Basically in the morning, there is a lot of fast/slow traffic on the highway, but it's more like accelerate to 70km/h, then slow down to 20km/h then back to 70 then back to 20 again.

I can accelerate up to 70 in EV, then I can regeneratively brake down to 20 to recharge the battery, then go up to 70 again with maybe the engine starting up for a few seconds for acceleration, but I can coast a really long way on EV only.

Long coasting in EV and long lengths of highway to regen the battery is how I can get amazing numbers.

So is your commute mostly flat or hilly? Even with traffic surges around here I can't imagine getting that much back and forth to recharge the battery to any significant degree. Sounds like you definitely found the sweet spot.

It's a flat highway. It's pretty amazing how far I can get on the highway. I sometimes think I'm in a Tesla

Just tested fuel economy on a moderately winding, mostly flat state route going around 60 mph. With cruise control I was getting 31.2 mpg in Normal mode. Without cruise, I actually got a little more, 32.4, but that might be because it was the end of the trip with a 45mph speed limit. AC and ventilated seats were on.

Before this test I've been getting a very consistent 26.8 combined (including some interstate and stop and go driving) if I drive normally without paying attention to mpg.

The fueleconomy of my Lexus NX300h F Sport AWD as changed significantly since the start mid april this year.
The first fueling showed 31.3 MPG and the latest 38.5 MPG. The drive is 70% highway. To reduce the fuel usage to this level the fastest average speed on the highway cannot exceed 62 mph. Doing 70 mph average speed on the highway increase the fuel usage to 31.3 MPG.

The 300h is more suited to city driving. You're probably going to get similar results from the 300h and 200t on the motorway.

Drove to Las Vegas from Orange County. 522 miles about 96% highway.
I have 1550 miles on my NX250t awd fsport.
When I got gas, using calculator, mileage was 24.5 mpg.
This exactly matched the head unit's "average" amount.
Previous to this trip, driving was mostly city streets at around 18 mpg.
On the vegas trip, I used sport mode ocassionally when getting on freeway ramps.
This is best mileage I've had with any previous car.
